Where have median sold prices risen most?
Compare council areas across England and Wales, by property type. Five-year period: 2020–2025.
Postcodes are mapped using the November 2025 directory. An outward code can match several councils. Council-level figures do not describe just that postcode.
Ranking rules: at least 100 sales in both 2020 and 2025, in both assignment versions; positive change in both; no more than 1 percentage point difference when disputed council assignments are excluded. Up to ten qualifying councils are shown. These are screening rules, not proof of investment performance.
Sources, dates and limitations
Changes compare median prices of properties sold, not repeat sales of the same homes. The mix of homes sold can change. Figures are nominal, not inflation-adjusted, and are not forecasts or valuations. Annual detail uses a minimum of 30 sales in each comparison year.
